Form factor is very important while deciding for a home PC, that's what I experienced when buying a new PC for home. Laptops aren't full fledged PC's as far as functionality is concerned, I think people will flame me on this quote. Alternatives are all in one PC's a lot like iMac's or eMacs or new breed of LCD based systems where everything goes under LCD panel, but when you have a good HD LCD panel at home already which can be used as a computer monitor who needs another LCD based design.
Pictured at left of a Cybernet's ZPC GX31 can be solution in such a dilemma. It's a full PC under a keyboard that means up to Core 2 Quad CPU, Intel graphics, optical drive, HDD, up to 4GB RAM and standard I/O ports etc. It's fully customizable and costs from $699 to $1099.
